Description

The key factor of these positions is to integrate embedded intelligence on chip in order to develop cognitive-reactive hardware architectures. The main challenge is to design integrated circuits able to adapt themselves (or reacting) to eventual changes of the surrounding environment. As a proof of concept, we are interest on designing a smart white stick for blind people able to adapt themselves and/or to react to eventual and sudden changes in its near environment, sensing the environment and fostering the cognitive and emotional adaptation of the visually impaired to the environment, exploiting both the possibilities that cognitive and reactive systems provide and the information available in smart environments.
