Description

The aim of this research is to develop and implement proper interfacial momentum exchange coefficients to close Eulerian two-fluid models for gas-liquid flows at high volume fraction.
Due to the increased entrainment effects in the wake of bubbles at high void fractions (swarms), the magnitude of momentum interactions between the gas and liquid phases highly differs from the one at low void fractions. In this research, better understanding and prediction of these effects are looked for.
